Im <strong>Tal des Flusses Alcantara<\/strong>, zwischen den Gemeinden Castiglione di Sicilia und Motta Canastra, k\u00f6nnen Sie eines der Schauspiele bewundern, die uns die Natur bietet: die Alcantara-Schluchten, auch bekannt als die Schluchten von Larderia.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Gole dell\u2019Alcantara sind bis zu 30 Meter hoch und im Durchschnitt 4 Meter breit<\/strong>, obwohl sie an einigen Stellen nur noch 2 Meter breit sind. Der neuesten Hypothese zufolge sind diese Schluchten im Laufe der letzten 8.000 Jahre durch drei verschiedene Lavastr\u00f6me entstanden. Das Wasser des Alcantara-Flusses traf auf die Lava und k\u00fchlte sie schnell ab, wodurch tiefe, unregelm\u00e4\u00dfige Risse im Gestein entstanden. Seit Jahrtausenden hat der Wasserfluss das Gestein unaufh\u00f6rlich erodiert und den Lavak\u00f6rper ans Licht gebracht. Heute k\u00f6nnen wir bei einem Spaziergang durch die Schlucht die f\u00fcnfeckigen und sechseckigen prismatischen Formen der hohen schwarzen W\u00e4nde bewundern, die so malerisch sind, dass sich im Laufe der Jahre mehrere Filmemacher entschieden haben, sie in ihren Filmen zu verewigen. Wenn Sie abenteuerlustig sind, k\u00f6nnen Sie alternativ einen zertifizierten F\u00fchrer bitten, Sie zu begleiten und das sogenannte <strong>Flusstrekking<\/strong> auszuprobieren. Wenn der Pegel des Flusses steigt, k\u00f6nnen Sie <strong>Rafting<\/strong> in die Schlucht ausprobieren.<\/p>\n\n<p>Sie erreichen die Alcantara-Schluchten vom Pampaleone mit dem Auto in 40 Minuten. Nehmen Sie einfach die A18 Autobahn und folgen Sie der Beschilderung nach Messina.
